Description
The Senior Accountant, reporting to the Controller, is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. This role oversees general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis while partnering closely with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to support key business objectives. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in identifying process improvements, supporting internal and external audits, and providing timely financial insights that drive informed business decisions.

Requirements
· Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions
· Perform monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
· Analyze trade and marketing spend activity, performing actual-to-budget variance analysis
· Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and internal financial reports
· Support month-end close by preparing journal entries, accruals, and related documentation
· Oversee and review accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, resolving discrepancies promptly
· Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies and support internal and external audit requests
· Perform budget-to-actual and variance analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies
· Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to support business objectives and financial reporting needs
REQUIRED SUPERPOWERS:
· Demonstrated expertise in GAAP and accrual accounting
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables
· Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred.
· SAP experience strongly preferred
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
· Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally to support accurate financial reporting and business objectives
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
· Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing and/or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment

· Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days remote
