Project Supervisor

Job Description Summary:

Aviagen is establishing a new world-class operation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), comprising farms, a hatchery, a feed mill, a laboratory, and a decontamination facility across multiple locations.

To support the successful delivery of this ambitious project, Aviagen has partnered with GPP, a specialist consulting firm with extensive expertise in the design, management, and supervision of poultry industry construction projects.

We are seeking an experienced Project Supervisor to join the project team and work closely with both GPP and Aviagen stakeholders throughout the construction phase.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Project Manager and Project Director, the Project Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day on-site supervision of construction activities. Acting as the eyes and ears of the project management team, this role ensures that contractors execute works in accordance with approved designs, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

This is a predominantly field-based role requiring a proactive individual with strong construction oversight experience and the ability to identify and resolve issues before they impact project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the daily activities of contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with approved designs, technical specifications, contractual requirements, and project standards.

• Conduct routine site inspections and quality audits, documenting findings and following up on corrective actions where required.

• Serve as the primary on-site liaison between contractors, suppliers, consultants, and the wider project management team.

• Track construction progress against project schedules and promptly escalate any delays, risks, or deviations.

• Support the implementation of corrective actions related to schedule, quality, safety, or cost performance.

• Assist with the review, verification, and acceptance of completed construction works and milestone achievements.

• Monitor the implementation of approved design changes and ensure all modifications are executed correctly on site.

• Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, inspection records, photographic evidence, and progress updates.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable local regulations, building codes, permit requirements, and safety standards.

• Participate in site coordination meetings, safety briefings, audits, and project reviews.

• Provide accurate field information to support weekly and monthly project reporting.

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure contractors adhere to established HSE requirements at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).

• Minimum of 8 years' experience in construction supervision, site management, or project execution.

• Proven experience overseeing industrial, infrastructure, agricultural, or large-scale construction projects.

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, quality assurance processes, and health and safety standards.

• Experience working with contractors and suppliers within the Saudi Arabian market.

• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced site environment and make sound decisions under pressure.

• Fluent in both English and Arabic.

Preferred

• Experience in poultry, agribusiness, food production, or industrial facility construction projects.

• Knowledge of KSA construction regulations, permitting processes, and local standards.

• Familiarity with project management and reporting tools such as MS Project, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
