Employee Benefits Account Executive
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Benefits Account Executive to join a dynamic and growing team. With over 21 years of excellence and recognition as a Best Practices Agency, ranked among the top 30 agencies in the country by Reagan & Associates. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-centric culture while managing a diverse portfolio of employee benefit accounts. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to clients and producers, ensuring exceptional service delivery, retention, and growth.
This hybrid role requires a blend of in-office and remote work (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) and is based in either Richmond or Virginia Beach.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $160,000 per year
- Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
- Travel: Occasional travel to branch locations and client sites as needed
Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic partner to clients and assigned producers, managing employee benefit accounts with a focus on retention, growth, and exceptional service delivery.
- Oversee the full client lifecycle, including plan strategy, renewal management, compliance oversight, and ongoing consultative support.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Maintain a strong understanding of underwriting methodologies and health reinsurance contract structures.
- Provide expert guidance and support to clients on employee benefits administration.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Licensure: Life & Health (L&H) license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of employee benefits administration experience, with a strong understanding of underwriting methodologies and health reinsurance contract structures.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EPIC software is preferred.
- Client Focus: Demonstrated ability to manage accounts ranging from 150 to 4,000 lives, with some smaller and larger groups.
- Work Ethic: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a commitment to fostering a positive team culture.
