Requirements 

• Valid Driver's License
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
• Security Experience: 1+ years
• 21+ years of age
• Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
• NOTE: First two months in this position will be working various posts for best geography and familiarization on airport property

 

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership and airport personnel, and document daily activities and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
