Summary:
The Student Assistant will provide essential administrative and analytical support to the business team in the Office of Undergraduate Enrollment, with a particular focus on travel expense tracking, policy compliance, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting multiple ongoing projects.
Essential Functions:
Travel Expense Management: Create, update, and maintain detailed spreadsheets to track travel expenses related to recruitment activities. Ensure records are accurate, complete, and organized for reporting and auditing purposes.
Policy Compliance Review: Analyze travel data to verify that all expenses align with the university’s travel and expense policies. Identify and flag potential discrepancies for follow-up.
Inventory and Order Processing: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records for recruitment materials. Coordinate and process orders for supplies, promotional items, and other materials as needed.
Administrative Support: Provide general office assistance, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and responding to inquiries. Support the recruitment team in meeting operational deadlines and objectives.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time.
10 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$18.40 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
