This position reports to:
LVS Sales and Marketing Manager – South East Asia__
As a Sales Manager for ABB's Low Voltage Switchgear business in Singapore, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, market penetration, and customer engagement across ABB's Low Voltage Systems and Solutions portfolio. You will develop and execute sales strategies, build strong customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and achieve sustainable growth in orders, revenue, profitability, and market share while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies and business plans to achieve order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction targets for ABB's Low Voltage Systems and Solutions business.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants, EPCs, and contractors key stakeholders by understanding their needs and providing technical and commercial solutions aligned with ABB's value proposition.
- Identify, develop, and drive new business opportunities through market analysis, customer engagement, competitive positioning, and promotion of ABB's Low Voltage Switchgear portfolio.
- Prepare and manage quotations, proposals, contracts, and commercial negotiations, ensuring technical and financial accuracy while supporting project execution, cash collection, and sales administration activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to execute marketing initiatives, product launches, and customer engagement activities that strengthen ABB's market presence and brand positioning.
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline development, and project opportunities, implementing recovery plans and corrective actions where necessary to achieve business objectives.
- Maintain the highest standards of safety, integrity, compliance, and ethical business conduct in accordance with ABB's policies and values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or any related engineering field.
- Minimum 7 years of sales, business development, or account management experience within the electrical industry, with a strong focus on Low Voltage Systems, Switchgear, Power Distribution, Motor Control, or related Electrification solutions.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing business opportunities within the Singapore market, particularly with consultants, contractors, EPCs, and end users.
- Strong technical and commercial knowledge of Low Voltage Switchgear, Power Distribution Systems, Motor Control Centers (MCC), Protection Solutions, and related ABB or competitor product offerings.
- Experience in preparing commercial proposals, contract negotiation, strategic account management, and managing complex sales opportunities from identification through order closure.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build long-term customer relationships and influence decision-makers at multiple levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, integrity, compliance, and ethical business practices, with the ability to work collaboratively across local and regional teams.
