This position reports to:
Procurement Manager__
As Project Procurement Manager, you will manage procurement execution for complex projects, ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services in compliance with contractual, quality, and schedule requirements.
Reporting to the Procurement & Logistics Team Lead, you will collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and suppliers to support effective project execution.
The working mode is: #LI-Hybrid
This role is contributing to the AUPI Division in Switzerland.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Own end-to-end procurement execution for complex projects, ensuring the timely, compliant, and complete delivery of goods and services from global suppliers. Run supplier kick-offs, align expectations, establish effective communication frameworks, and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to seamlessly integrate supplier deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage supplier performance, schedules, and quality to keep the project on track, continuously monitoring procurement progress, mitigating risks, expediting critical deliveries, resolving performance issues, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and all project milestones.
Oversee commercial and contractual supplier management, negotiating project changes, variations, claims, back charges, and other contractual matters while safeguarding ABB's interests and ensuring the timely implementation of agreed actions and remedies.
Manage governance, documentation, and project reporting excellence, overseeing supplier documentation schedules and approvals, providing clear visibility on procurement status, risks, opportunities, supplier performance, and forecasted impacts, while ensuring successful purchase order closeout, fulfillment of contractual obligations, warranties, and final deliverables.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Several years of professional experience in project procurement, supply chain management, contract management within an international industrial environment.
Demonstrated experience in the execution of complex, multidisciplinary projects involving engineered equipment, global suppliers, and demanding schedule commitments.
Collaborative, initiative-driven, and solution-oriented personality with solid communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Well-developed analytical and organizational capabilities, with the ability to prioritize, carry out execution, and deliver results in demanding situations
Fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are welcome.
