Role summary:As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions by managing feature implementation, testing, and ongoing support within collaborative teams. You will drive the full software development lifecycle, applying advanced programming skills and integrating AI/ML components to enhance platform capabilities. This role requires strong technical judgment, continuous improvement, and effective cross-functional collaboration to meet business objectives. You will contribute to design reviews, mentor peers, and ensure high-quality, reliable software aligned with Walmart’s standards and strategic goals.

The Global Governance Tech team delivers advanced Ethics and Compliance solutions supporting supply chain initiatives through agile, cloud-native development. The team emphasizes innovation, quality, and scalable software aligned with business goals. Members collaborate to design, develop, and maintain solutions across in-store, mobile, and web platforms. With strong technical expertise, ownership, and problem-solving focus, the team operates in a dynamic environment that encourages continuous learning and collaboration. This approach drives impactful results that enhance customer and business outcomes while ensuring maintainable, high-quality software solutions.
What you'll do:
- Lead delivery of scoped features and models through collaborative engineering teams, ensuring alignment with platform and business objectives.
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, efficient code across multiple programming languages, supporting full software development lifecycle and CI/CD processes.
- Integrate AI and machine learning components to enhance software capabilities using internal and external APIs.
- Participate in solution design, conduct code reviews, and apply best practices for scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
- Monitor application performance and support ongoing maintenance and debugging efforts.
- Mentor peers and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++.
- Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, code review, debugging, and documentation-based coding practices.
- Proven ability to deliver scoped features and models through iterative development and continuous integration/deployment.
- Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance software solutions.
- Solid understanding of scalable, secure, and maintainable system design aligned with business objectives.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and effective communication of complex technical concepts.
- Commitment to engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and technical ownership of deliverables.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
