What you'll do...
Role summary:As a Software Engineer III at Walmart, you will lead the design and development of scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management and user experience. You will troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable technical solutions for the Walmart Claims Contact Center while ensuring quality and security standards. This role involves managing projects of varying complexity, supporting continuous integration and delivery, and mentoring junior engineers. Your expertise will drive innovation and operational excellence, contributing to the delivery of high-impact technology that supports Walmart’s business objectives and customer experience.
About the team:
The Contact Center Engineering team develops and maintains platforms that enable seamless customer support experiences. They design scalable call, chat, and routing workflows, integrate enterprise systems, and ensure high reliability across interactions. By optimizing solutions, the team supports efficient service delivery through agents and automation. Their work drives fast, consistent, and reliable communication within the contact center ecosystem, enhancing operational performance and customer satisfaction. The team emphasizes technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement to address evolving business needs and deliver robust, scalable software solutions.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with product, project, business, and user experience teams to define high-level design and technical solutions for projects.
- Develop, test, and maintain code ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements, including security and scalability standards.
- Develop, test, and maintain NICE CXone applications, scripts, workflows, and integrations
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and business issues through root cause analysis and coordinated action plans.
- Lead small to medium-sized projects by managing requirements, researching alternatives, and delivering sustainable solutions on time.
- Support users by providing technical guidance and identifying implementation strategies.
- Mentor and guide engineering team members
- Implement automation scripts and telemetry features to enhance continuous integration and delivery processes.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in software design, development, and delivery within Agile environments.
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming, coding standards, and software development, with demonstrated expertise in Java and Python experience.
- Experience with contact center development platforms such as NICE CXone, or a strong willingness to learn and support contact center technologies, scripting, and integrations.
- Expertise in debugging, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting production issues to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automation scripting.
- Experience in writing and executing test cases and managing defect life cycles.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on sustainable, value-driven technical solutions.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
