Job Description
Job Title: Associate - 1
Department: Corporate services - UK Trust & Family Offices
Company: Apex Funds Services LLP
Location: North Bengaluru, India
Key Responsibilities
- Posting accounting entries and preparing annual accounts for UK trusts and family offices.
- Prepare and process income distributions (Dividend/interest) to beneficiaries in accordance with trust deeds and client instructions, including maintaining supporting documents and distribution records.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding unreconciled items.
- Perform Investment and broker reconciliations.
- Preparation and filling of tax returns for UK trusts.
- Prepare tax certificates along with understanding of investment broker tax packs.
- Calculate Apex trustee fee in accordance with client agreements and preparation of group revenue schedules related to UK trusts and family offices.
- Prepare client billing schedules and invoices.
- Regulatory filling to HMRC related to income/investments/AUM.
- Registering trust and family offices with HMRC.
- Ensure completion of deliverables within agreed timelines.
- Support process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects.
Required Qualifications
- CA / CPA / ACCA / MBA (Finance/Banking), CFA, or any other relevant professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or Banking)
Experience
- 0 - 5 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Reconciliation, Taxation, Audit, Banking Operations, or Financial Services.
Preferred Skills
- Strong accounting and reconciliation knowledge.
- Good understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
