Overview
The Commercialization Manager is responsible for translating commercialization knowledge, portfolio learning, Growth Navigator principles, market insights, and emerging AI opportunities into business requirements that support the continued evolution of myInnovation and the broader Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) ecosystem.
Reporting to the Commercialization Director, this role partners closely with Commercialization teams, the myInnovation product team, reporting and analytics resources, IT, and external partners to strengthen portfolio learning, improve decision-making, and ensure future capabilities align with business needs. The role serves as a key bridge between commercialization processes, technology solutions, product development, AI-enabled capabilities, and portfolio performance, helping drive continuous improvement across innovation and commercialization activities.
The role also acts as Commercialization's business lead for emerging digital and AI-enabled capabilities, ensuring new solutions are grounded in relevant business use cases, validated through testing and user feedback, and fit for purpose before deployment.
Responsibilities
- Commercialization & Portfolio Learning
- Act as a subject matter expert for commercialization processes, Growth Navigator methodologies, portfolio learning, and post-launch performance evaluation.
- Define business requirements, frameworks, and learning mechanisms that improve commercialization effectiveness and support portfolio decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to connect forecast assumptions, launch execution, and in-market performance outcomes.
- Support the evolution of post-launch review processes by incorporating internal and external performance signals and market intelligence.
- Establish approaches that enable portfolio-level learning and continuous improvement across innovation programs.
- Identify opportunities to embed commercialization best practices within future portfolio management processes and system capabilities.
- Product Development, AI Enablement & Solution Readiness
- Partner with the myInnovation product team, Oscar(AI) design team, reporting resources, and IT teams to define and prioritize business requirements for future capabilities.
- Develop user stories, use cases, business processes, and acceptance criteria for new functionality.
- Serve as Commercialization's business lead for AI-enabled capabilities, identifying opportunities to improve portfolio learning, launch readiness, forecasting quality, and decision-making.
- Define business requirements, use cases, guardrails, expected outcomes, and success measures for AI-enabled solutions.
- Lead Commercialization business validation activities, including pilot programs, user acceptance testing (UAT), AI output testing, and business readiness assessments.
- Evaluate new capabilities, workflows, insights, and AI-enabled solutions to ensure they are practical, scalable, responsible, and fit for purpose prior to deployment.
- Represent Commercialization requirements throughout product development, testing, release planning, and deployment activities.
- Establish feedback loops to continuously improve capabilities through user feedback, adoption insights, testing results, and commercialization learning.
- Identify enhancement opportunities based on user feedback, adoption trends, and evolving business needs.
- Collaboration & External Partnerships
- Partner with Commercialization, R&D, Marketing, IT, Data & Analytics, and external partners to align business needs with future capabilities.
- Collaborate with external providers and industry experts to incorporate relevant market intelligence, benchmarks, commercialization insights, and emerging best practices.
- Evaluate opportunities to integrate external data sources and partner capabilities into portfolio learning, AI-enabled solutions, and decision-support processes.
- Support initiatives that strengthen portfolio visibility, forecasting accuracy, launch readiness, learning effectiveness, and commercialization performance.
- Communicate recommendations, insights, and business requirements to stakeholders across multiple organizational levels.
- Facilitate alignment between business teams, technology partners, and product owners to support successful delivery and adoption of future capabilities.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $110,700 - $185,250.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Commercialization, Innovation, Portfolio Management, Business Transformation, Analytics, Product Management, Digital Enablement, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of innovation and commercialization processes from ideation through launch and post-launch evaluation.
- Experience translating business requirements into process, data, reporting, technology, digital, or AI-enabled solutions.
- Experience supporting product development, user acceptance testing, business validation, or technology deployment activities.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to build effective partnerships across organizational levels.
- Ability to analyze complex business challenges and develop practical, actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to support adoption and continuous improvement of new tools, processes, or ways of working.
Preferred:
- Experience within a global Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) organization.
- Knowledge of Growth Navigator methodologies and commercialization best practices.
- Experience working with portfolio management, innovation management, or stage-gate processes.
- Familiarity with forecasting, launch performance measurement, and post-launch review methodologies.
- Experience working with analytics, reporting, data management, or business intelligence teams.
- Experience supporting AI-enabled solutions, including use-case definition, output validation, user testing, or responsible adoption.
- Knowledge of myInnovation, Oscar(AI) or similar portfolio and innovation management platforms.
- Experience working with external partners, technology vendors, and data providers.
