Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager to manage and service a portfolio of personal insurance clients.
This position is ideal for an insurance professional with approximately 2–3 years of Personal Lines experience at an insurance brokerage or independent agency, with hands-on experience servicing personal insurance products such as homeowners and automobile insurance.
The Account Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for clients and work closely with insurance carriers and internal team members to manage policies, renewals, coverage needs, and day-to-day client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and service an assigned book of Personal Lines clients.
- Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients regarding their insurance policies.
- Handle policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, evidence of insurance, billing inquiries, and other service requests.
- Manage policy renewals and review coverage for accuracy and adequacy.
- Communicate with insurance carriers regarding underwriting, coverage, pricing, and policy changes.
- Assist with quoting and placement of new Personal Lines business.
- Prepare coverage comparisons and proposals for clients.
- Identify potential gaps in coverage and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Support clients with Homeowners, Auto, Umbrella, Renters, Condominium, and other personal insurance products.
- Maintain accurate and complete client records within the agency management system.
- Deliver responsive and professional customer service to clients.
Qualifications
- Native-level Japanese language proficiency with strong understanding of Japanese business culture
- 2–3 years of Personal Lines insurance experience within an insurance brokerage or independent agency environment.
- Hands-on experience servicing Homeowners and Personal Auto insurance required.
- Experience managing or supporting a Personal Lines book of business.
- Knowledge of Personal Lines coverage, policy structures, renewals, endorsements, and carrier processes.
- Experience communicating directly with both clients and insurance carriers.
- Strong customer service and relationship-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Applied Epic or a similar agency management system is a plus.
- California Property & Casualty insurance license preferred.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has an insurance brokerage or independent agency background with practical experience handling Personal Lines accounts.
Candidates should be comfortable handling client inquiries, renewals, policy changes, and communication with multiple insurance carriers.
