Description
GENERAL SUMMARY: To plan, organize and implement activities for the Miracle League of Dubuque All-Inclusive Playground Program.
Pre-season program preparation to include mandatory training meetings, organization of facility and supplies. Ongoing training and staff meetings will be required to ensure safe, engaging and efficient program.
Plan and implement daily activities ensuring they are inclusive, comprehensive, age appropriate and contribute to the overall social development of participants.
Be available to assist anyone with special personal care needs.
Role model positive behaviors and hold staff accountable to do same.
Motivate participants to engage in activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve difficult situations and conflict as needed
Work closely with the Program Coordinator to assist in providing safe and consistent supervision.
Follow all City of Dubuque policies and procedures. Interpret and maintain health & Safety policies and procedures.
Ensure that park patrons are abiding by City of Dubuque ordinances and regulations.
Contact Park Rangers for assistance when needed.
Contact appropriate EMS in the event of an emergency.
Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings required by the Recreation Supervisor.
Follow correct accident reporting procedures at all times.
Follow Leisure Services policies and procedures at all times.
Display quality customer service skills while interacting with the public and handling patron comments, questions, and concerns.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Recreation Supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be sixteen years of age.
OVERTIME (FLSA) STATUS: Non-exempt
