Description
Capital Region drivers: grocery store deliveries with no touch freight and a work week you can plan around.
Just finished CDL school? This account trains new drivers.
Your paycheck
- $1,500 average weekly gross
- About 2,000 miles a week
- $10 for the first stop, $15 for each stop after
- $15 extra on short runs
- $850 a week while you train
How the schedule works
- 5 day or 6 day work weeks, or longer stretches with home time set in advance
- Live within 200 miles and you are home weekly for your 34 hour reset, and you can take the truck home
- Day and night shifts are open
- Weekends, holidays and winter driving are part of the job
Questions new drivers ask
- “Do I unload the trailer?” No. This is no touch freight.
- “Am I home every night in training?” No. You ride with your mentor while you train. The schedule above starts when you go solo.
- “Does my CDL school count?” If it was 120 hours or more, yes.
Getting started
A recruiter checks your license and record with you first. Orientation is 2 days at most, with your hotel covered, your bus ticket reimbursed and $300 once you are hired. Then 4 to 6 weeks with a trainer, and the truck is yours.
Who can apply
- Class A CDL, 21 or older
- 120 hour CDL school certificate, or 6 months of recent experience
- No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years, no DUI/DWI in 10
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (hair and urine)
Benefits after 30 days: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), employee stock plan, and a tuition free online degree for you plus one family member.
