About Our Family

We're a busy, warmhearted family of four based in Brooklyn with full professional lives and an active household that thrives on thoughtful organization and teamwork. Our household runs with a lot of heart and a lot of moving parts. Both parents balance demanding careers and varying schedules.

Our two school-aged children are spirited, athletic, and deeply involved in extracurricular activities throughout the school year. A meaningful part of this role includes helping transport our children to and from their afternoon activities. Their schedules are busy, and reliable daily support is one of the biggest ways this position helps our family. While this is first and foremost a Household Manager role, we're looking for someone who is happy to flex into a supportive role when needed—providing supervision, homework assistance, prepping afterschool snacks, helping with transitions, and being a dependable extra set of hands during busy afternoons.

We already have weekly cleaning support and a part-time chef several afternoons each week, so the foundation is already in place. What we're looking for is someone to step in and own the operation. This person will serve as the central point of coordination for our household, taking full responsibility for the behind-the-scenes logistics, administrative details, and daily execution that keep our family running effortlessly. We value someone who naturally assumes ownership, solves problems before they become problems, and sees the success of the household as their personal responsibility.

More than anything, we're searching for someone who takes genuine ownership of the entire family's day-to-day wellbeing. This isn't a role for someone who simply checks items off a to-do list. We're looking for someone who naturally notices what needs attention, takes initiative without being asked, and feels personally invested in making our lives run more smoothly. The right person finds fulfillment in creating calm out of chaos and takes pride in knowing that their work allows our family to spend more meaningful time together and focus on what matters most.

We're a collaborative household that values efficiency, discretion, reliability, and thoughtful communication. Life here is dynamic, and plans can shift quickly, so we appreciate someone who remains calm, resourceful, and solutions-oriented. If you naturally think several steps ahead, enjoy bringing order to busy lives, and find satisfaction in helping others succeed, we think you'll feel right at home with our family.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You're the kind of person who walks into a situation, reads the room, and quietly starts making things better before anyone has to ask. You have the organizational strength and polish of an exceptional Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant, but you're equally comfortable managing the hands-on logistics of a busy household. Whether coordinating complex schedules, planning travel, managing inventory, or organizing seasonal projects, you instinctively think ahead and execute with excellence.

Most importantly, you take full ownership. You don't see responsibilities as isolated tasks—you see the household as an ecosystem, and you naturally connect the dots to ensure everything runs seamlessly. You become deeply invested in the family's success, anticipating needs, solving problems before they arise, and creating systems that make everyday life easier.

You're comfortable navigating the city and ensuring our children's transportation runs smoothly each afternoon, serving as a positive, reliable presence during one of the busiest parts of our family's day. You understand teenagers who are becoming increasingly more independent, but also need moments of warmth, flexibility, and good judgment from an adult.

You're a natural systems builder who spots inefficiencies and improves them. You maximize downtime, communicate proactively, and are always thinking one step ahead.

You hold yourself to a high standard because you genuinely care about doing excellent work. You're warm, adaptable, emotionally intelligent, and dependable—the kind of person who finds real fulfillment in making a meaningful difference in the lives of the family you support.
