Employee Benefits Account Administrator
Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Employee Benefits Account Administrator to manage and coordinate employee benefits accounts. This role involves serving as a liaison between clients, providers, and internal teams to ensure the efficient delivery of services. Expertise in benefits administration, strong attention to detail, and effective problem-solving skills are critical for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding their employee benefits accounts, providing support and guidance in the implementation and administration of plans.
- Manage plan renewals, updates, and compliance with applicable regulations, ensuring smooth account maintenance and adherence to deadlines.
- Process employee enrollment, termination, and changes within benefit plans, maintaining an organized and accurate database.
- Work collaboratively with insurance carriers and benefits providers to resolve billing, claims, and eligibility issues effectively.
- Conduct periodic reviews of client benefits plans to ensure ongoing relevance, competitiveness, and compliance.
- Provide training and educational sessions to clients and their employees on benefits offerings, options, and processes.
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and innovation to deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and market developments related to employee benefits and use this knowledge to guide clients effectively.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, transactions, and changes to comply with company policies and best practices.
- Support team members in cross-functional projects and operational initiatives as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Previous experience in employee benefits administration, account management, or a similar role.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts or projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on building positive client relationships.
- Proficiency with benefits management software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and familiarity with HRIS systems is a plus.
- Sound understanding of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and compliance requirements.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Commitment to professional growth and staying updated on trends in employee benefits administration.
