Description
Most first jobs tell you when you get to go home. This one lets you help decide. Run about 1,900 miles in a week and you unlock weekends off. New CDL holders train with pay, starting right here out of Richmond.
Training
- Paid on the road training with an experienced driver trainer
- $850 per week while you train
- $1,000 per week guaranteed for your first 3 months solo
Your Runs
- Northbound out of Virginia into the Northeast
- Flexible home time, weekends off when you hit about 1,900 miles
- Drop and hook in most cases, some live loads
- Some city driving
Pay
- $1,300 to $2,000 average weekly gross
- $0.55 per mile to start, up 1 cent per year of tenure to $0.65

Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL, 21 or older
- New drivers: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school
- Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12+ months in the past 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years, no major preventable accidents in 5 years
- Pass hair and urine drug testing and a DOT physical
