Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, foster strong client relationships, and ensure seamless communication between clients, carriers, and internal teams. The role requires excellent service delivery to drive client retention and support a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for assigned commercial lines accounts, addressing client inquiries and providing tailored insurance solutions.
- Administer daily servicing of commercial accounts, including policy changes, billing, claims assistance, coverage reviews, and renewal preparation.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with commercial clients to align services with their insurance needs and business goals.
- Negotiate with insurance carriers to secure favorable terms and coverage options for client portfolios.
- Identify and resolve coverage gaps, provide risk management recommendations, and ensure clients have suitable protection.
- Facilitate onboarding and policy reviews for new clients to ensure accuracy and comprehensive coverage.
- Maintain accurate records and detailed documentation in the agency management system.
- Stay informed about industry trends, carrier updates, and compliance for informed client recommendations.
- Participate in meetings, training, and professional development activities in alignment with department goals.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager or in a similar insurance industry role.
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products and industry-specific risks.
- Strong customer service and communication skills for relationship-building with varied groups of individuals.
- Proficiency in agency management systems and applicable software.
- Analytical and organizational proficiency with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Dedication to continuous learning and professional growth within the insurance sector.
