What you'll do...
Role summary:The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves interpreting technical schematics, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Technician supports preventive maintenance programs, leads field teams, and communicates effectively with customers and management. Operating company vehicles and utilizing digital tools to coordinate service calls are essential. This position requires adherence to established standards while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What you'll do:
- Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
- Interpret layout plans and schematics to ensure accurate system setup and compliance with building codes.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial
- Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
- Maintain and repair refrigeration units such as racks, walk-ins, and reach-ins.
- Conduct inspections and repairs following federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations.
- Lead and mentor field teams
- Manage service calls, coordinate with external providers, and document refrigerant usage per EPA protocols.
- Operate company vehicles safely to complete service calls and maintain vehicle compliance.
- Participate in on-call rotations
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
- Ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration.
- Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
- Competence in operating heavy machinery and company vehicles safely.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical issues and collaborate with teams and customers.
- Experience leading or mentoring technicians and managing service calls using digital tools.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $58.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.Option 2: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
