Role summary:The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT, is responsible for maintaining safe, clean, and efficient exterior facility operations. This role involves managing seasonal maintenance activities, operating heavy machinery, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The technician supports cost control through effective resource management and collaborates with management and third-party providers to uphold quality standards. By troubleshooting issues and delivering responsive service, this position contributes to sustaining facility functionality and safety while promoting continuous improvement and adherence to company policies and ethical standards.

What you'll do:
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment following safety and certification standards.
- Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including snow and ice management to ensure safe facility conditions.
- Conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot facility issues to meet operational and safety requirements.
- Manage vehicle maintenance, inspections, and documentation to ensure readiness and compliance.
- Coordinate purchases of parts, equipment, and supplies while controlling costs and verifying receipts.
- Lead third-party providers and support associate development through coaching and performance evaluations.
- Implement upgrades and improvements to enhance facility sustainability and reduce operating expenses.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience operating and maintaining heavy machinery and powered equipment in compliance with safety standards.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations relevant to exterior facility services.
- Ability to manage budgets, including cost estimation and approval of purchases for parts, materials, and equipment.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, quality assurance inspections, and resolving customer concerns effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership in coaching, performance evaluation, and managing third-party service providers.
- Competence in vehicle maintenance, safety checks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Commitment to upholding company policies, ethics, and fostering a safe, clean work environment.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
21 years of age or older.Valid state-issued driver’s license.
No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor
vehicle.
No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor
vehicle.
Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification pre- hire.
As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.
2 years’ experience in the landscaping/gardening industry

Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre-hire contingency and be able to maintain a minimum of a 90 day Medical Examiner’s Certification (MEC) card, Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area., Experience in third-party management., Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)., Proficient in speaking and understanding Spanish., State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California, etc).
