Role summary:The Technician, Facility Services, HVAC, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related equipment to ensure optimal facility operations. This role involves interpreting technical documentation, diagnosing mechanical and control issues, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The technician collaborates with management and partners to coordinate service activities, adheres to safety and regulatory standards, and maintains accurate records. This position requires effective communication, adherence to company protocols, and participation in on-call rotations to support operational needs across multiple locations.

The Facility Services HVAC Technician team is dedicated to installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related equipment to ensure optimal facility operations. What you'll do:
- Install HVAC systems, ductwork, control components, and related building equipment following technical plans and codes.
- Configure and calibrate digital controls, building automation, and low-ambient HVAC applications to meet operational standards.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting HVAC and facility systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure system reliability and reduce downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders.
- Operate company vehicles safely to complete service calls within assigned regions.
- Communicate effectively with facility operators and management regarding service needs and status.
- Adhere to safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company policies during all tasks.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, ductwork, and control components.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation to ensure accurate and code-compliant installations.
- Skilled in configuring and calibrating building automation systems and direct digital controls.
- Strong diagnostic skills to resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-related HVAC issues.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and commitment to safety protocols and personal protective equipment use.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventory.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with facility operators and management.
- Capability to manage work assignments using digital tools and scheduling systems.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling- equipment, or related trades.
Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
