What you'll do...
Role summary:The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related building equipment. This role involves configuring controls, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The technician performs preventive maintenance, conducts inspections, and supports operational efficiency through accurate documentation and effective communication with facility partners. Utilizing digital tools for scheduling and reporting, this position contributes to sustaining reliable HVAC operations while adhering to company protocols and safety requirements.
About the team:
The team supports Walmart Supercenters and Sam’s Clubs by maintaining landscapes through mowing, trimming, and related projects. They manage scheduled assignments with a focus on quality and safety compliance, coordinating resources efficiently. Effective communication and project management are key to meeting operational goals. Team members conduct equipment inspections and follow safety standards, including OSHA guidelines. This group plays a vital role in sustaining facility aesthetics and functionality, contributing to a well-maintained environment that supports business operations and enhances customer satisfaction.
What you'll do:
- Install HVAC systems, ductwork, controls, and related building equipment following technical plans and codes.
- Configure and calibrate digital controls, building automation, and low-ambient HVAC applications to meet operational standards.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting HVAC and facility systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure optimal system performance and reduce downtime.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance, inspections, parts usage, and service activities.
- Operate company vehicles safely to complete service calls within assigned regions.
- Collaborate with management and partners to support operational efficiency and compliance.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience installing and maintaining HVAC systems, ductwork, and control components.
- Proficiency in configuring and calibrating direct digital controls and building automation systems.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, layout plans, and documentation accurately.
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and control-related HVAC issues.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to enhance equipment reliability.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with facility operators and team members.
- Capability to manage work assignments using digital tools and scheduling systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles safely.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling- equipment, or related trades.
Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
