What you'll do...
Role summary:The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, ensures the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities through routine preventive maintenance and timely repairs. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing major and minor repairs, managing maintenance schedules, and overseeing less-experienced associates. The position requires expertise in multiple crafts, compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and effective coordination with contractors and suppliers. The Senior Technician also delivers hands-on training, maintains accurate documentation, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to uphold quality and operational excellence across company facilities.

What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance.
- Inspect, diagnose, and document issues using blueprints, manuals, and tools, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
- Lead and mentor less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and overseeing work quality and safety compliance.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to support operational efficiency and budget adherence.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and company vehicles following safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and ensure all completed work meets applicable codes and standards.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures using multiple craft skills such as electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Ability to diagnose issues through inspection, testing, and use of blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and code requirements.
- Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor relationships.
- Effective leadership and mentoring skills to guide less-experienced associates and deliver hands-on training.
- Proficient in documenting maintenance activities, compiling budget information, and submitting warranty claims.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
