What you'll do...
Role summary:The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and upkeep of Walmart facilities and equipment through routine preventive maintenance and timely repairs. This position involves diagnosing issues, managing maintenance schedules, overseeing less-experienced associates, and coordinating with contractors to meet quality and safety standards. The role requires expertise in multiple craft skills, adherence to regulatory requirements, and effective documentation of maintenance activities. The Senior Technician also supports training initiatives and contributes to continuous improvement efforts to maintain operational excellence across company locations.

What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Lead and oversee work of less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and guidance.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to ensure quality and compliance.
- Operate heavy machinery and company vehicles safely, conducting pre- and post-operation inspections.
- Document maintenance activities, compile reports, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in performing preventive maintenance and repairs across multiple crafts including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to diagnose equipment and facility issues using blueprints, manuals, and technical resources.
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA compliance requirements.
- Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor oversight to ensure quality and cost control.
- Effective leadership skills to train, mentor, and evaluate technician associates.
- Proficient in documenting maintenance activities, budget tracking, and parts inventory management.
- Commitment to upholding company policies, ethics, and operational standards.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
