Role summary:The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, managing maintenance schedules, overseeing less-experienced associates, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers. The position requires adherence to safety and regulatory standards while delivering quality workmanship. Additionally, the Senior Technician provides hands-on training, manages parts inventory, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to maintain operational excellence across Walmart facilities.

What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
- Inspect, clean, repair, and document maintenance activities, identifying repair and replacement needs.
- Utilize multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry to complete repairs and oversee projects.
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools safely, conducting pre- and post-operation inspections.
- Lead and mentor less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and evaluating skill development.
- Manage work orders, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to ensure quality and compliance with regulations.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and maintain accurate financial and maintenance records.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs, and to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.
- Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor coordination.
- Demonstrated leadership in training, mentoring, and overseeing less-experienced associates.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with managers, vendors, and team members.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
