Role summary:Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, to perform preventive maintenance and repairs ensuring facility safety, functionality, and appearance. This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, and addressing equipment and facility issues while managing maintenance schedules and contractor work. The position includes training and mentoring associates, overseeing projects, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Senior Technician will also manage parts inventory, document activities, and support operational excellence by collaborating with teams to deliver quality results aligned with company policies and values.

What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Lead and oversee work of less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and guidance.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to ensure quality and compliance.
- Operate heavy machinery and company vehicles safely, conducting pre- and post-operation inspections.
- Document maintenance activities, budget information, and warranty claims accurately.
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
- Proficiency in multiple crafts including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment.
- Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.
- Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor coordination.
- Capability to train and mentor less-experienced associates and lead work teams.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills for maintenance activities and budget tracking.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
