What you'll do...
Role summary:The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, managing maintenance schedules, overseeing less-experienced associates, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers. The position requires expertise in multiple trades, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and effective documentation of maintenance activities. The Senior Technician also provides hands-on training and supports continuous improvement efforts to maintain operational excellence and uphold company policies and values.

The Exterior Services team is dedicated to maintaining Walmart’s outdoor areas through expert landscaping, equipment operation, and preventive maintenance. They manage projects efficiently while supporting facility upkeep and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance service quality. What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety and functionality.
- Inspect, diagnose, and document issues using blueprints, manuals, and tools, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
- Lead and mentor less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and overseeing work quality and safety compliance.
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to support operational efficiency and budget adherence.
- Operate heavy machinery and company vehicles safely, conducting pre- and post-operation inspections.
- Ensure all work complies with federal, state, and local regulations and company standards.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance.
- Proficiency in multiple crafts such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment operation.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues using blueprints, manuals, and technical resources.
- Strong leadership skills to oversee projects, mentor associates, and coordinate contractors.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
- Competence in managing maintenance schedules, work orders, parts inventory, and budget reporting.
- Skilled in operating heavy machinery and company vehicles safely and efficiently.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
