Role summary:The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, managing maintenance schedules, overseeing less-experienced associates, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers. The position requires adherence to safety and regulatory standards while maintaining accurate documentation and budget oversight. The Senior Technician also provides hands-on training and supports continuous improvement efforts to uphold quality and operational excellence across company facilities.

What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures following established schedules and safety guidelines.
- Inspect, diagnose, and document facility conditions, recommending repairs or replacements to prevent future issues.
- Utilize multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry to complete maintenance tasks and oversee less-experienced associates.
- Operate heavy machinery and powered equipment safely, conducting pre- and post-operation inspections.
- Manage work orders, parts inventory, and contractor relationships to ensure quality and compliance with regulations.
- Deliver hands-on training and support to technician-level associates and ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures using multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs, and to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.
- Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and contractor coordination.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in training, mentoring, and overseeing less-experienced associates.
- Capability to operate heavy machinery and company vehicles following safety protocols.
- Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills to support operational and financial processes.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
