Role summary:The Senior Manager, Architecture Management is a licensed architect and people leader responsible for shaping how Walmart’s architectural strategy is delivered across the enterprise. This role supports AOR strategy, consultant selection and assignments, onboarding, mentorship, performance, and document quality—ensuring Walmart has the right architectural capabilities aligned to the right work. The Senior Manager will strengthen consultant accountability, identify capability and performance opportunities, and influence how architectural resources support evolving business and design priorities. Through strong partnerships and architectural leadership, this role directly impacts design quality, delivery consistency, and the meaningful environments experienced by millions of customers and associates.

Through architectural leadership and a strong network of design partners, the team shapes meaningful spaces that enhance customer experience, support associates, and serve communities. The team leads strategy, consultant partnerships, mentorship, performance management, and document quality to ensure architectural excellence at scale. What you'll do:
- Support Architecture Management strategy, connecting Walmart’s design direction with the architectural partners and capabilities needed to deliver at scale.
- Shape AOR strategy and assignments based on expertise, capacity, performance, and business needs.
- Lead consultant partnerships, onboarding, mentorship, performance, document quality, and accountability.
- Provide architectural leadership and professional judgment across design, constructability, code, standards, and execution challenges.
- Partner across Design, Prototype, Engineering, Construction, and business teams to strengthen alignment and resolve challenges.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of consultants.
- Oversee consultant contracts, fees, and performance expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement across Walmart’s architectural partner network.
What you'll bring:
- Licensed architect with strong architectural expertise and experience leading complex, multi-project portfolios.
- Proven success building and managing high-performing AOR and consultant partnerships.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop both associates and external design partners.
- Strong understanding of architectural documentation, constructability, building codes, and quality expectations.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to connect design decisions, consultant capabilities, and business priorities.
- Confidence navigating complex challenges and influencing across functions and leadership levels.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills grounded in trust, clarity, and accountability.
- Passion for developing people, improving performance, and creating meaningful spaces for customers and associates.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
